2 Baltimore officers on Task Force shot outside Security Square Mall, suspect killed

Two officers of Baltimore city police were shot, and a suspect was killed as a U.S. Marhsals’s task force proceeded to serve a warrant outside a mall on Tuesday morning, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman said.

The police officers suffered injuries that were assessed to be non-life-threatening as they were taken and treated to at the University of Maryland Medical Center, a country police spokeswoman Joy Stewart said. The subject was taken to a hospital somewhere else and was shortly after declared to be dead by the police.

A large section of the parking lot at the Security Square Mall in Woodlawn was sealed off with crime tape, allowing the officers to begin evidence collection around a pickup truck. The truck was observed to have been damaged by bullets, with holes seen on the driver’s side window and windshield. The alternation led to the gathering of around two dozen police officers, paramedics, and other officials at the Tokyo Seafood Hibachi Grill & Sushi entrance, with a police helicopter, hovered above the area.
