2020 MTV VMAs: Lady Gaga dominates the award ceremony with iconic face masks

Lady Gaga, who led the MTV Video Music awards with nine nominations, wore a variety of masks through the night.

“Just because we’re separated right now, and culture may feels less alive in some ways, I know a Renaissance is coming,” she said during her final acceptance speech.

“Stay safe, speak your mind, and I might sound like a broken record, but wear a mask — it’s a sign of respect.”

Gaga took the stage multiple times, winning the first award of the broadcast for best collaboration for “Rain On Me.”
