American Horror Story boss Ryan Murphy has shared an exciting update about the forthcoming season. Every season of American Horror Story has a different theme, with now the tenth one all set to be explored!
The AHS co-creator had a countdown on his social media on Friday (March 19), leading up to the announcement the new season will be titled Double Feature. The season will tell two separate stories, one set by the sea and one set by the sand. A brand new teaser sets the stage with an ominously-beachy vibe.
American Horror Story‘s previous themes include Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse and 1984.

SEASON 1
The first season of American Horror Story takes place in a haunted house, and revolves around the Harmons, a family of three who moved from Boston to Los Angeles as a means to reconcile past anguish.
SEASON 2
In the second season, strange happenings occur at Briarcliff Manor, run by the Catholic church as a sanitarium. Sister Jude administers the facility with a strict hand while concealing her lusts. Dr. Arthur Arden conducts strange experiments on the patients, including accused serial hugger Kit Walker, the infamous Bloody Face, who may or may not be innocent.
SEASON 3
The third season of Ryan Murphy’s twisted horror anthology presents a new tale in ‘American Horror Story: Coven’. Fiona eyes an alliance with Marie Laveau. Later, Cordelia’s attacker is revealed; and Nan learns a disturbing truth about Luke’s past.
SEASON 4
Though it may turn off new viewers unaccustomed to its unabashed weirdness, Freak Show still brings the thrills, thanks to its reliably stylish presentation and game cast. Police make a grim discovery at a farmhouse in the Season 4 premiere. A man from Ethel’s troubled past arrives at camp. Meanwhile, Gloria arranges a play date for Dandy.
SEASON 5
Season 5 revolves around Detective and family man, John Lowe, who investigates a chain of gruesome murders in Los Angeles. A mysterious tip points him to the enigmatic Hotel Cortez.
SEASON 6
In the sixth season Matt and Shelby, a interracial couple, decide to move to North Carolina and get away from the big city for peace and quiet, to start a new life, until Shelby starts seeing strange things that haunt her day and night. This ends with Lana Winters interviewing Lee Harris about what happened during the Return to Roanoke.
SEASON 7
The seventh season catches after Trump is elected as the President, Ally Mayfair-Richards is beset by all of her old phobias, and they appear to be coming to life. The FBI arrests Kai, but he continues to amass power in prison. Meanwhile, Ally tries to move on with her life but decides to go into politics.
SEASON 8
Season eight sees the end of the world when the bombs drop, and the survivors wonder if surviving is worth it after the Cooperative gives them shelter. while the witches prepare for a final epic battle with Michael Langdon. An old face returns to help with the plan.
SEASON 9
In the summer of 1984, five friends escape Los Angeles to work as counselors at Camp Redwood. As they adjust to their new jobs, they quickly learn that the only thing scarier than campfire tales is the past coming to haunt you.
