The Last Thing He Told Me is an anticipated thriller television miniseries for Apple TV+ that is based on Laura Dave’s novel of the same name. Jennifer Garner will play the lead role in the miniseries, which was developed by Dave and Josh Singer.
Before the book’s May 4, 2021 publication, Hello Sunshine and Red Om Films optioned it. Soon after, Hello Sunshine and Red Om Productions, in collaboration with 20th Television, placed the concept up for bid. After a fierce bidding battle, Apple ultimately won the project and ordered it to series. Julia Roberts was revealed in January 2021 as the lead actress for The Last Thing He Told Me. The storyline of this Apple TV+ series is identical to that of Dave’s first book. The narrative centers on Hannah, whose husband inexplicably disappears over night and only leaves a letter. Hannah, who is left to deal with the fallout from this bizarre tragedy, develops a bond with Bailey, her 16-year-old stepdaughter, and Owen’s daughter. As was to be predicted, Bailey doesn’t like Hannah very much, which makes life more challenging and confusing for Hannah. Yet they manage to come to terms with finding Owen as their shared objective. Yet as they draw closer to the truth, the narrative develops with more questions than answers.
