Annabel Oakes is the creator of the forthcoming American musical romantic comedy television series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, which will air on Paramount+. The series is a precursor to the 1978 movie Grease, which was based on the Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey theatrical production of the same name. On April 6, 2023, it is slated to debut.

Moreover, WarnerMedia gave the project a straight-to-series order in October 2019 under the working title Grease: Rydell High, with HBO Max being the intended platform for its broadcast. Annabel Oakes was hired in April 2020 to pen the pilot episode and serve as the show’s executive producer. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies was given the new title for the show in May 2020, and its 2021 debut date was also revealed.
