Google cancels April Fools

Google has cancelled April Fools for the second consecutive year.

For the second year in a row, an internal email was obtained by Business Insider stating that Google will not create a series of elaborate and occasionally entertaining April Fools pranks this year. The memo to Business Insider was confirmed by Google too.

In 2020, Google took off the year from April Fools’ Day tradition out of respect for all those fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last year also, Business Insider received an internal email saying that their highest goal was to be helpful to people and save the jokes for next April.
