Cal State LA to offer Covid-19 vaccination to anyone above 18 years due to unfulfilled appointments

With the excuse from California’s State Emergency Services that many vaccine appointments are not are being fulfilled so they planned that the vaccine shots will be given to any random person, age 18 and older, walking up the vaccination site.

As per a report, Johnson & Johnson vaccines are already in great excess and further unfulfilled appointments may create a fuss. Walk up vaccination for anyone, at least 18 years old, will be starting from Sunday as only eligible class of groups in California can make an appointment.

“By providing the vaccinators working at the site some flexibility to fill the vacant slots, the vaccination rate in California will improve in an efficient and effective way, says Brian Ferguson,” CAL OES spokesperson.

Vaccination eligibility for 50 years and older were opened on 1st of April and from April 15 onwards anybody 16 years and older will be eligible across California. In an attempt to complete the vaccination process as swiftly as possible by opening up vaccination sites across the state.

Former Laker’s player, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, along with LA Unified School District Superintendent, Austin Beutner, urged the parents to get their vaccines at George Washington Prep Senior High School or Abraham Lincoln Senior High in Lincoln High.

Other vaccination site has been launched on Wednesday at Lon Angeles City College and at Southeast-Rio Vista YMCA, both of which requires appointments.
