Expedia’s new tool to check for COVID-19 restrictions
As the spring season began and more people are getting vaccinated, folks stuck in their homes for months now are finally getting back on with their travel plan. But, with changing restrictions regarding the pandemic, it is quite difficult to be updated with the latest rules by the state. Expedia Group – a website of which include Expedia, Hotels.com, Travelocity, Vrbo and others – has created a tool to help their passengers know about the latest COVID-19 restrictions at their destination.
According to Expedia’s, senior director of experience insights, Stacey Symonds’s email, “with COVID-19 vaccines rolling out, many people are considering booking trips, but they’re confused about where and how they can travel safely.” As per the company, November itself had 1.6million participants for the COVID-19 Travel Advisor.
In order to use Travel Advisor, one has to enter basic trip information like arrival and departure airport and your date of travelling, and the site will fill you up with all the details relating to masks policy, quarantine policy, and other such restriction as per place.
On April 1st, The New York Times gave out a list of all the countries where American visitors are allowed, and the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a map showing where travel may be risky due to coronavirus pandemic.
