Netflix postpones ‘Diana: The Interview that shocked the World’ indefinitely after Prince Philip’s death

After the announcement of the passing away of the Duke of Edinburgh by The Royal Family, Netflix has decided to push the release of the documentary titled, ‘Diana: The Interview that shocked The World’ to an unannounced date.

Reportedly, the documentary was scheduled to be released this Sunday. It was licensed by Netflix to release in the UK, The US, and Canada.

The documentary involving Princess Diana’s infamous interview with The BBC in 1995, was released in several countries, the previous year.

The documentary is 90 minutes long where Diana openly spoke about her troubled marriage to Prince Charles. She also confirmed the news of his infidelity with Camilla Parker Bowles and her previous five-year affair with James Hewitt.

Princess Diana also spoke about her past stages of dealing with depression and frustrations, raising questions about Prince Charles and the media.

She said, “I always knew I’d never been the next queen,” she said at another point. “I’d like to be a queen of people’s hearts.”

Following the ‘Panorama’ interview, Queen Elizabeth II insisted Prince Charles divorced Diana. It was in 1996 that the Royal couple was officially divorced.

A year later in 1997, Princess Diana died in a Paris car crash, aged 36.
