Here is a much needed revisit to the The Central Perk
1994. Central Perk. Orange couch 6 friends. That’s how began one of the most successful sitcoms of all times. Eventually, each of their dialogues became punchlines. How you doin?
As everything good comes to an end, after 10 seasons; 236 episodes the show ended in 2004. But that never deterred it from topping the Most Watched lists.
Ever since Nov 2019, when the Hollywood Reporter disclosed the reunion being created by Warner Bros Television, friends fam haven’t stopped bombarding Social media.
Officially confirmed in February 2020 to be aired on HBO Max, it was planned to be recorded with a live audience. But then Covid had to meddle. Could it be any sadder?
Finally, the shooting for the reunion episode commenced, recently on April 5, Mathew first posted a picture of the set, captioned, “Seconds before eating a makeup brush. Not to mention reuniting with my Friends.” He later deleted it, but it was enough to send the fans into an uproar.
To be directed by Ben Winston, this episode would bring together Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer on the screen after 17 years in their iconic roles.
David Schwimmer, who plays the nerdy paleontologist, Ross Geller revealed to IANS that it would be unscripted. He said, “I should have (studied) up on old episodes, but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to catch up on the 236 shows. I guess I need to watch a lot over the next five days!”

This show was a trendsetter in more than one way- making a tea-loving country like Britain shift to coffee, ‘sarcasm’ becoming the mainstream humor, and every Ross waiting for his Rachel.
