Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo’s friendship timeline is sure to melt your hearts

‍Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo have been giving us major friendship goals since the latter’s debut single release ‘Drivers License’.

Taylor Swift has always supported Olivia in all her works. She has boosted her morale by expressing her love through shoutouts to her music and making her shine in social media.

Here’s to the back story of how their blooming friendship grew so speedily-

Back in April 2020, Rodrigo had posted the cover of her idol Taylor’s song ‘Cruel Summer’ , to which Taylor came across and was highly impressed. She reposted her clip saying, “The talent. Love this! ”

It was when Olivia’s Drivers License hit Number 3 position on the US iTunes Chart, right below Taylor’s at Number 2 position, did their friendship solidified even more.

Rodrigo took to Instagram to express her overwhelming emotions by captioning it, “Next to taylor on the us I tunes chart i’m in a puddle of tears.” To add to her joy, Taylor commented on her post saying, “I say that’s my baby and I’m proud.”

We witnessed the bond blooming even more when Taylor Swift sent Olivia a present at her doorstep on March. During Olivia’s March 3 interview with SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up,  she shared about Swift’s thoughtful gift. 

Rodrigo said, “She is absolutely the kindest individual in the whole world. Actually, last night, literally like 12 hours ago, I got a package from her with this like handwritten note. And she gave me this ring because she said she wore one just like it when she wrote Red and she wanted me to have one like it and all of this amazing stuff, she’s like hand-wrapped these gifts.”

On April 8, Taylor nominated Rodrigo to promote her ‘Fearless’ album.  Olivia together with Conan Gray made a hilarious Instagram reel on White Horse’, where they were seen acting out it’s lyrics.

No doubt, Taylor and Olivia share an amazing bond with a lot of similarities and zero competition between them.  They are always there to cheer each other everytime they release a new track.
