Netflix ‘You’ Season 2 recap and ending explained
You is an American Psychological Thriller T.V series starring Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, Elizabeth Lail as Guinevere Beck, and Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn. Season 1 has been a hit and Season 2 is an art itself.
Season 2 of the show was released on Netflix on December 26, 2019. The ending of the show changes the whole mood of the show and puts the viewers in a state of confusion about Joe’s character.
In season 2, we see that Joe moved from New York to Los Angeles and has renamed himself as Will Bettelheim and somehow trying to escape from Beck’s murder and there he finds Love Quinn who seems to be the perfect match for Joe. But, The end ruins it for all of us.
In the entire season, we see that joe is obsessed over Love but in the final episode when she confesses that she is exactly like Joe his feelings are reversed. He clearly didn’t see that coming. with that Love Quinn also reveals that she is pregnant. Also, we see that Forty was shot in the back by policeman David Fincher (Danny Vasquez) to save Joe.
Joe had a lot to deal with and Forty’s death brought in a lot of drama in the series. Nevertheless, towards the end of the episode, we see that Joe and Love move into a lovely home replete with a picket fence.
There was a shock waiting for all of us at the end. Joe was seen reading a book called ‘crime and punished’ and it clearly portrayed that he has somehow accepted his fate. After all of this, Joe is no more obsessed with Love and he has found his new victim. He is now shown very curious about “her”. she seemed relaxed and chill little did she know she is Joe’s new target.
You Season 2 has been a hell of lot of fun and season 3 is arriving soon. The production has started and has been confirmed to the viewers by a tweet on Twitter saying
We recommend you stay at least 6 feet from Joe Goldberg at all times. YOU S3 is back in production.
