Katelyn Nacon joins John D’Aquino, Augie Duke, June Carryl and Phil Esposito in Shane Brady’s film
Katelyn Nacon, The Walking Dead star is the latest one to join John D’Aquino, Augie Duke, June Carryl, and Phil Esposito in Shane Brady’s written drama Breathing Happy.
The film portrays Dylan, an erstwhile drug addict, whose demons begin resurfacing nearing his one-year sober anniversary.
According to Deadline, writer-director Brady said, “I didn’t want to tell a literal story of addiction, with a logical, linear flow because when it comes to drugs, nothing makes sense. No path is clear. I’m also a magician, so I knew I could tell this story in a way no one else could, or ever has before. No one is going to watch a movie because it’s a vanity piece. You must have a genuine, realistic connection to the story. This film is my artistic interpretation of my family’s struggles with addiction, both those who used, and those who suffered while trying to help. A jumbled popcorn machine of emotions and points of view hopefully bringing about healing for other families struggling with addiction.”
Executive-produced by Emily Zercher and Jamie Parslow, it also includes filmmakers and artists like Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, Jim O’Heir, and Chris Dudley.
