Peter Frampton Band releases a new song in honor of George Harrison’s ‘Isn’t It a Pity’

The Peter Frampton Band has come up with a new cover on George Harrison’s ‘Isn’t It a Pity’ in his honour. The music video gives an insight into Frampton’s quarantine life.

It shows Frampton’s rendition to the main vocals of the songs ‘Isn’t It a Pity’ where he plays on his guitar along with the other band members.

The music video revolves around Frampton’s life and it begins with him performing in 2019 and getting back home after wrapping up to proceed with the lineups of concert tours and performances only to realise that the pandemic, COVID-19 has hit us, cancelling on all his forthcoming tours and projects.

It then follows with his regular daily lockdown chores that include playing coin games, counting on the pizzas frozen in his refrigerator,  working out, rolling on the floor due to boredom and interacting with his distant family men through zoom calls.

The music video finally ends on a happy note where Frampton excitedly informs his family members of having taken the second shot of COVID-19 vaccine through a zoom call.

Frampton in his statement (source Rolling Stone) shared, “We have all been in the same boat for over a year now. Our video lets you into my world of lockdown and possibly yours too. I think we can all relate.”

The Band’s cover will be streaming on UMe on April 23 as a part of their album Frampton Forgets the Words.

The album includes instrumental covers of some of Frampton’s favourite songs including ‘Reckoner’ by Radiohead, ‘Avalon’ by Roxy Music, ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ by Lenny Kravitz and ‘Loving the Alien’ by David Bowie.
