Helen McCrory succumbs to Cancer at 52; Husband announces her demise via Twitter
The award-winning Peaky Blinders actress, Helen McCrory succumbed to death at 52 due to Cancer. Her husband, the Billions actor Damian Lewis made the announcement via Twitter.

Born in 1968, she began her acting career in 1990 on stage and was much lauded for her roles in plays including plays including The Deep Blue Sea and Medea.
Best known for playing Aunt Polly in Peaky Blinders, she was recently seen in the BBC/HBO series His Dark Materials. Her roles as Narcissa Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Prime Minister Dawn Ellison in Roadkill, Sonia Woodley in Quiz and notable TV series, including MotherFatherSon, Fearless, Penny Dreadful. She had also featured in films like Skyfall, Hugo, and The Queen.
McCrory won a BAFTA Cymru Award for Streetlife and a Broadcasting Press Guild prize in 2001 for North Square. Her work in Penny Dreadful earned her a Critics Choice Television Awards nomination.
The couple married in 2007 and they had a daughter together. Last year during the peak of coronavirus pandemic,they spoke to Deadline about their goal to feed and care for the front line workers.
