James Charles dropped from Morphe deal after being accused for sexual misconduct

Beauty YouTuber and Makeup artist James Charles and makeup brand Morphe have parted ways after the former was accused of sexual misconduct. James and Morphe have released a statement on Friday, April 16, regarding the end of their business ties.
Brand Morphe took to Twitter to announce the news of mutually ending it’s business relationships with Beauty guru Charles. This was due to the allegations put on James for his past deeds of sexual misconduct with minors. He was accused of having been involved ‘sexting’ minors.
The brand said in it’s announcement, “In light of the recent allegations against James Charles, Morphe and James have agreed to end our business relationship and wind down sales of the Morphe x James Charles product offering.”
It further added, “It is and has always been Morphe’s goal to create a positive, safe, and empowering space where all beauty lovers can freely share their artistry and passion for cosmetics, and Morphe is committed to furthering that goal.”
After apologizing for the exchange of sexual messages to his minor fans on April 1, the 21 year old Beauty guru took to Twitter to address the allegations of his scandal and how these accusations have impacted and worsened his relationships, especially his partnerships in the business front.

James said that accountability is something that he has already spoken about and after the allegations he has decided to mutually end ties with Morphe. He added, “I am continuing to take time away to learn, grow, and listen, and look forward to coming back one day in the future as a better version of myself.”
