U.S. to accomplish Biden’s goal of 200 million doses before its time limit
The White House says that President Joe Biden’s target to administer 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine shots will be accomplished by the end of this week.
Biden is set to make a speech where he will announce the same accomplishment.
My Administration is working around the clock to get America vaccinated as quickly as possible. Tune in as I deliver an update on our progress and the state of vaccinations. https://t.co/jxOtlPOzsW

The achievement comes a little ahead of its time, as Biden will be marking his 100th day in the office by the end of next week and when he came into the office on January 20th, he had initially vowed to administer 100 million vaccine shots before his 100th day. Later, due to the large supply of vaccines, he doubled his own target.
“I know it’s ambitious, twice our own goal,” Biden said. “But no other country has come even close – not even close – to what we are doing.”
The celebratory mood was weakened in the White House as there was a surge in the cases.
However, the death rate remains low nationwide as a result of the high vaccination rate among the elderly.
