Everything you need to know about Taylor Swift’s bond with her mother Andrea, portrayed in ‘The Best Day’
Taylor Swift is an American singer, songwriter and actor born on December 13, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania to Andrea and Scott Kingsley Swift.
Swift released her debut studio album in 2006, but rose to fame with her second studio album ‘Fearless’ released in 2008.
‘Fearless’ featuring some of her best songs such as ‘Love Story’ and ‘You Belong with Me’ went ahead to be honoured by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for Diamond certification.
Being one of the best-selling music artists in the world, Swift has several accolades to her name including 11 Grammy Awards, 28 Guinness World Records, 32 American Music Awards and 23 Billboard Music Awards and many more.

Taylor shares an inexplicably close bond with her parents, especially her mother Andrea Swift who married her father Scott Swift in February 20, 1988.
Andrea was diagnosed with cancer in April 2015 and shortly after recovering, she was once again diagnosed with the ailment in August 2019. Even her dad has fought cancer and adding to the list, Andrea was yet again detected with brain tumor in 2020.

Taylor calls her mom to be her ‘guiding force’ and has been there constantly by her side during her battle with cancer.
Andrea and Scott have been marketing managers at some advertising company who helped Taylor build her website and MySpace page.

Andrea has always shared that Taylor never wanted to become rich or famous or a star, rather she would enjoy and cherish the recognition and positive attention from her fans.
She says, “For her, the happiest I ever see her is just after she’s written a killer song. As a parent, I felt really good about that. If that’s where she draws happiness from, she’ll have that the rest of her life. She’s not always gonna have the awards, or the attention, or the celebrity, but she will always have the ability to write a song”, according to ‘eonline’.

Taylor says that her mother deserves the credits of her being where she is today as she played the role of instilling in her the significance of being independent financially and otherwise.
She says, “She raised me to be logical and practical. I was brought up with such a strong woman in my life and I think that had a lot to do with me not wanting to do anything halfway.”
Taylor Swift has released two songs as a loving tribute to her mother Andrea, the first being ‘The Best Day’ from ‘Fearless’ and the second being ‘Soon You’ll Get Better’ from ‘Lover’.
Taylor’s ‘Soon You’ll Get Better’ is a dedicated song about her mother battling with cancer.

Her ‘The Best Day’ is a nostalgic number, where she expresses gratefulness for all the things that her mother ever did for her and thanks her with a music video of home videos of her and mother right from childhood.
The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker says that her mother is the one whom she shares everything with and is the closest person to her.
