The living legendary sportsman Willie Mays turns 90!
Willie Mays also known by his nickname as ‘The Say Hey Kid’ is an American former baseball player born on May 6, 1931 in Westfield, Alabama to father Cat Mays and mother Annie Satterwhite.
The Major League Baseball player played for the New York/San Francisco Giants for 22 years of his MLB career starting from May 25, 1951 while he finished it by playing with the New York Mets from September 9, 1973.
Willie was elected to ‘The Baseball Hall Of Fame’ in 1979, being one of the greatest baseball players of all times.
He was a part of the team ‘Birmingham Black Barons’ in 1948 until he was once again invited to join the Giants in 1950 after completing his graduation.
Mays has achieved several accolades for his amazing baseball career such as the 24x All-Star, World Series Champion in 1954, NL Rookie of the year in 1951 and the Roberto Clemente Award in 1979 among many others.
