His love story with his wife, Michelle Obama is also very popular. However, even after it has been more than 4 years since he left the office, Obama is always in the headlines. His stature as a leader continues to grow.

Obama is left-handed.

Barack Obama is left-handed. He shows a natural preference for his left hand while writing. He uses his left hand first while doing various activities. He also plays sports left-handed. Obama is one of the eight presidents to be left-handed out of the total 45 presidents that have been in the history of the United States. He’s rare indeed!

He quit smoking

Obama began smoking as a teenager and vowed to quit in 2007. He used to chew Nicotine gum to avoid succumbing to cravings to tackle with the stresses of the presidency. He stopped smoking in 2011. The reason he gave for making the decision was, “I’m scared of my wife.” Well, that sounds like a solid reason.

He once attempted to be a model

When Obama was studying at Harvard University, a classmate decided to create a calendar featuring 12 of the school’s most promising African-American male law students. Obama was then a student and stepped in, but the judges didn’t find him perfect for the role and rejected him outright. Well, we can’t disagree with the judges more!

He Is A Two-Time Grammy Award Winner

Obama has won two Grammy Awards so far. Both the time he won in the ‘Best Spoken Word Album’ category. He won the awards for his memoirs, ‘Dreams from My Father’ in 2006, and ‘The Audacity of Hope’ in 2008. Remarkably, both the Grammys were won by Obama before being elected as the President in 2009.
