Epic Games condemn Apple, say that the company abuses its monopoly
Apple has been facing a lot of backlash for the ‘tight control’ on its App Store. Aside from receiving numerous critiques for the commission they charge from app developers, the latest condemnation is that they are abusing their power as a ‘monopoly’. Tim Sweeny, CEO of Epic Games has been tweeting passionately in the same regard.
“You have a phone in your pocket most of the time and you want instant service. We felt both the use cases and the threat profile would eventually be much greater because of the number of iPhones on the market,” said Apple Inc Chief Executive Tim Cook.
The early days of Apple played a profound role in shaping my life and views on computing. Every Apple ][+ booted up to the BASIC programming language, and everyone was free to create and share software, and to grow businesses on their own volition. pic.twitter.com/MOkqhHCWuS
