Lindsay Lohan is an American actress, singer, songwriter and a businesswoman, born on July 2, 1986, in Bronx, New York, to parents Dina and Michael Lohan.

Beginning her career at the mere age of three, the star rose to mainstream recognition with her superhit Disney film, ‘The Parent Trap’, released in 1998.

Since her debut as an actress, Lohan has starred in many blockbuster movies and shows including, ‘Life-Size’, in 2000, ‘Get a Clue’, in 2002, ‘Freaky Friday’, in 2003 and ‘Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen’, in 2004.

It is no secret, that Lindsay carries the responsibility of having ruined her Hollywood career at her own hands, by sparking intense controversies, being a part of highly sensitising issues.

#1 Exit from the US

After getting framed for substance addiction and imprisonment, Lindsay left her hometown, the United States, to start afresh in London, and went ahead to shift to Dubai and Greece, where she is the sole owner of her Lohan Beach Club.

 

#2 Defending Weinstein amidst accusations of sexual misconduct

Right after Harvey Weinstein was largely accused of sexual misbehavior by several women, through ‘The New Yorker’ and ‘The New York Times’, Lindsay came out in support of him via her Instagram video, where she could be seen saying, “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on”.

 

#3 Extending support to ex president Donald Trump

When America’s ex president was trolled all over Twitter and other social media, upon his deteriorating leadership and mismanaged government, Lohan extended her support to him, via her tweet that read, “THIS IS our president. Stop #bullying him & start trusting him. Thank you personally for supporting #THEUSA. As an American, why speak poorly of anyone?”

 

#4 Slamming women for raising their voice for ‘#MeToo’

The star criticised women who raise their voices against the sexual predators as a part of the ‘#MeToo’ movement by calling them as “weak”. In an interview with ‘The Times’, in August 2018, she said, “make it a real thing by making it a police report. I’m going to hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women.”

 

#5 Alleging Syrian refugees for children trafficking

This happened during September 2018, when she attempted to help a migrant family, whom she identified as Syrian refugees.She filmed the entire process in her Instagram live video, which showed how she accused them of child trafficking when they were reluctant to go with her. She even alleged a member of having raised a hand at her.

 

#6 Asked to take off her headscarf

After flying from Turkey to London, in February 2007, the actress was apparently stopped at the Heathrow Airport, and was asked to take off her headscarf for security reasons, to which Lohan offensively said, “What scared me was in that moment — how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?” while accusing them of profiling her racially.

 

#7 Threatening waitresses over improper footwear

Taking to Instagram with a picture of two waitresses, who worked for a nightclub at her Lohan Beach Club, Lindsay wrote as the caption, “Wear the same shoes please, or you’re fired,” while also replying a fan who enquired whether this was a joke with, “Totally serious!” 

She tried to threaten them over not wearing matching footwear!
