Companies you didn’t know were owned by Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos has always been a space fanatic alongside an environmentalist. In his valedictorian speech at school, he said that he wanted to turn the earth into a nature preserve and build permanent colonies in orbiting space stations. Very clearly his inspiration for Blue Origin goes way back.

He is extremely serious about what opinion his customers keep of him, he has given out a primary email address where customers can reach out to him to get in touch if he gets the time to read some and if it states some problem faced by a customer, he makes sure it is resolved.

He wanted to name his company Cadabra because it sounded magical and was extremely close to doing so. The reason he did not do so was that it sounded too much like a cadaver, he finally named it Amazon after the largest river in the world.

He is also the owner of the Washington Post. He bought it for $250 billion back in August 2013. The company has seen tremendous growth after he took over.

He always wanted to work in a Star Trek movie and on several occasions called up at Paramount to give him a role in the movies. He did play an alien in Star Trek Beyond that came out in 2016. Bezos said that it was on his bucket list.
