Britney’s Conservatorship: Here are the Top 10 celebrity reactions, all in her support

Britney Spears, a singer, dancer, songwriter, and actress, has been under conservatorship for almost 13 years. In a conservatorship, the courts appoint a guardian to manage the finances and daily life due to old age/ physical or mental limitations. A person under conservatorship is known as a ‘Conservatee”.

Britney Spears Conservatorship started in 2008. After the police came to her house, they believed that she was under the influence of some unidentified substances. This lead to her being on a 5150 psychiatric hold and committed to the psychiatric ward at a Los Angeles medical center. Since then her finances have been managed by her father.

In 2020, Britney petitioned to have her father removed from her conservatorship. The court however denied the application. In April 2021, Britney’s legal team asked Penny to allow her to speak to the court directly and it has been decided to take place on June 23.

Here is how some of the celebrities reacted to Britney Spear’s Conservatorship Hearing.

#1. Halsey

Halsey, an American singer, and songwriter said, “Bless Britney and I hope with my whole heart she is awarded freedom from this abusive system. She deserves it more than anything. I admire her courage speaking up for herself today.” She, later on, added, “Additionally, fuck anyone who thinks they have the authority as an institution or individual to control a person’s reproductive health. #FreeBritney ”

#2. Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian showed her support by saying, “No one should be treated like this. Stay strong Queen!! You deserve better #FreeBritney”

#3. Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey, an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress said, “We love you Britney!!! Stay strong ”

#4. Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer, an american actress, singer, and television personality said, “Got y’all asses!! ITS OVER #FreeBritney crazy mfs”

#5. Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, an actor also showed his support by saying, “Britney deserves freedom. She deserves to reap the rewards of her years of hard work. Britney deserves to be happy. #FreeBritney”

#6. Jameela Jamil

Jameela Jamil, an actress, model, radio presenter, and writer said, “Been saying it for years. FREE BRITNEY. I can’t believe this legal hostage situation. Poor kid was just talented. Two decades of punishment from tabloids and her own team, are not survivable. She’s so strong for withstanding this. We love you Britney!”

#7. Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen, an American radio and television talk show host, producer, and writer tweeted “#FreeBritney”

#8. Vera Wang

Vera Wang, an American fashion designer tweeted “No words. #FreeBritney”

#9. Brandy

Brandy, an American singer, songwriter, and actress said, “Sending all my love and support to Britney Spears and her fans.” She later on also tweeted “#FreeBritney”

#10. Chrishell Stause

Chrishell Stause, an American actress and real estate agent tweeted “You’ve got this” along with a video. She later on also said, “I will 1000% RIOT if Britney is not freed. We are SO PROUD of you @britneyspears! Listening to her call is equal parts heartbreaking and infuriating. #freebritneyNOW and then change the laws #FreeBritney”. Further adding, “Can’t stop thinking about @britneyspears”
