Kanye’s brand Yeezy sues Walmart over fake sneakers

Kanye West and his Yeezy sneaker label sued Walmart for selling fake sneakers of his brand at highly discounted prices which attracts the customers. Yeezy slides got compared to crocs initially but now sells three times in the secondary market. But Walmart has the identical fake pair at a price range of $22-$34 a pair while the original ones cost hundreds of dollars.

Despite a legal notice, Walmart did not withdraw the retailing of fake Yeezy Foam Runner. According to the suit, the Yeezy brand is worth billions and such imitated products cause them heavy losses. These products are visually indistinguishable but are of a subpar quality which harms the goodwill and brand image. Various customers have complained about product quality.
