The singer had previously teased a “special announcement”. Now, she confirmed the first batch of six of her re-recorded albums.
With this move, Swift is being seen taking control of her music once again. Her music was taken by music manager Scooter Braun and his media holding company, Ithaca Holdings LLC, when they acquired Swift’s old label Big Machine Label Group, in July 2019.
Love Story (Taylor Version) comes close to Valentine’s Day weekend. The music was first teased through a snippet being used on an advert for a dating site, Match, made by Ryan Reynolds. The full ‘Taylor Version’ of Swift’s second album Fearless will feature 26 songs, including previously unreleased music.
Eagle-eyed Swifties have spotted that a statement from Swift featured capital letters in between, which spell out ‘April 9’. This has led fans to believe that this is the release date of her new record.
