A-listers like Snoop Dogg, Shania Twain to host new shows on Apple Music
It has been reported that Apple Music is in talks to launch various new radio shows. The shows will be hosted by A-list musical acts, like Snoop Dogg, Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood.
The streaming service declared that it will start two new radio stations: Apple Music Hits, which will focus on popular numbers of the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s, and Apple Music Country, entirely for the country music genre.
Both channels will have daily on-air hosts but will also include various shows hosted by well-known musicians.
Snoop Dogg, Twain, Alanis Morissette, Backstreet Boys, Meghan Trainor, Ciara, blink-182′s Mark Hoppus and Huey Lewis will be hosting the shows on Apple Music Hits.
Over a dozen country acts will start shows on Apple Music Country, like Underwood, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Rissi Palmer, and “This Is Us” actress and singer Chrissy Metz, to name a few.
It has also been revealed that the popular Beats 1 radio station — featuring shows hosted by Billie Eilish, Elton John and Lil Wayne — will be renamed to Apple Music 1. It will launch new shows hosted by Nile Rodgers, J Balvin, Young M.A and other acts.
