After completing Season 11, “Shameless” cast says goodbye! Check it out
The cast of “Shameless” has said goodbye to their longtime characters after completing 11 seasons. Sunday night saw the series finale of the Showtime family dramedy about a large, dysfunctional family led by William H. Macy’s troubled patriarch Frank Gallagher.
Macy took to his Twitter account sharing the experience and called Sunday the “end of an era”, he also talked about his experience calling himself ” a mess” “Goodnight everyone, a watershed event,” Macy wrote Sunday on Twitter. “I love you Shameless family. I love you Shameless fans. I’m exhausted.”

Emmy Rossum, who was a part of the show till 2019 left the show in 2019, tweeted Thursday that she was ” so proud of the cast”and was “immensely honored to have been a part of a show as unique and impactful as “Shameless.”

“It’s a hard thing to put into words, feelings. But I’m going to try,” she wrote. “The opportunity to play Fiona has been a gift… I know you will continue on without me, for now. There is much more Gallagher story to be told. I will always be rooting for my family. Try not to think of me as gone, just think of me as moving down the block.”
“The way John Wells has shepherded me as an actress, and more recently how he’s encouraged me wholeheartedly as a director and a writer, has been an honor and a privilege,” she wrote.
Shanola Hampton, who played the Gallaghers’ neighbor Veronica Fisher, said it was a “joy bringing her life to character”
“I have the chills,” wrote Emma Kenney reflecting on when the series began airing in 2011, when she was 11. “Thank you thank you thank you!
