Ahsoka is an upcoming American limited series for Disney+ created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. It is a part of the Star Wars universe and a spin-off from the series The Mandalorian, taking place after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983), while also acting as a continuation to the animated series Star Wars Rebels. The series follows Ahsoka Tano as she explores a new threat to the galaxy in the aftermath of the Empire’s demise.
Early in May 2022, it was announced that many Rebels characters will be coming. Further castings were made public in April 2023, highlighted by Lars Mikkelsen’s Grand Admiral Thrawn cameo in the series, which affirmed the continuation of the Rebels series’ plot.
