Alex Trebek’s daughter Nicky reveals she hasn’t watched “Jeopardy” since her father’s heavenly abode
Alex Trebek’s daughter Nicky seems to be going through an emotional turmoil, as she is not ready to get over her father’s death and finds watching “Jeopardy” difficult.
Nicky made a presence on the “CBS This Morning” show and confessed that she and her family haven’t watched even a single episode of the game since her father’s death in November.
“Well, to be honest, I have not watched one, my family hasn’t watched any at all,” she admitted. “I resigned from the show in November just after he passed before Thanksgiving. To me, it was his show and it’s difficult for me to carry on in this show.”
Nicky also spoke about how she’s creating a team, in honor of her dad, for the virtual Purple Stride Walk benefiting pancreatic cancer.

Trebek left to heavenly abode in November after a continuous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old. The Emmy winner served as the host for “Jeopardy!” since 1984, presiding over more than 8,000 episodes.
“I just want to carry on his legacy, honor his fight,” she said. “It’s really hard to explain…. I think we all still thought he was gonna beat it. It was one of those things where he is invincible and so extraordinary and so many things he does in life and it was just, I’m not sure how to put it into words.”
Matthew, 31 is Trebek’s son who previously told Entertainment Tonight about the prized possession he kept in the loving memory of his father.
Matthew has been donating the star’s “Jeopardy!” suits to nonprofit organizations. This idea came to him from one of the show’s producers.
