The multi-vehicle crash on Friday morning marks the third such accident to occur in the past two days. Two accidents were reported in the same area on the 1st of July. The first of which occurred at 2:35 p.m. Betty Metcalf, 54, of Emerado, reportedly failed to see the halted traffic while driving his Chrysler west on Highway 2. Consequently, Metcalf crashed into a vehicle which then struck another. She was then rushed to Altru Hospital in an ambulance, suffering minor injuries. Metcalf has a pending charge of driving under influence. The entire ordeal led to traffic being stripped for about 45 minutes.

Two hours later, the second collision occurred in the same area, this time on the route heading east. The NDHP report claimed Kadin Visocsky, 20, of Grand Forks, unable to slow down ended up colliding with a vehicle that went on to hit another. No injuries were reported in the second crash, while Visocsky faces a potential charge of following too closely, according to the accident report.
