Bad weather suspends Kansas’ track & field championship
With the southeastern corner of the area having reported to see severe storms redevelop later this afternoon, Kansas State High School Activities Association as of today has temporarily suspended the state track and field championship meet for the time being.
The official Kansas State High School Activities Association posted an update on its twitter handle regarding the temporary suspension and the supervisory board over the state’s high school sports monitoring of the storm.
The state track and field championship meet will remain suspended. The next update will be made at approximately 10:15. We are monitoring the storm moving in from the southwest!

Another update came later from the body that the track and field meet would remain suspended till 11:00 PM until a pending word from the national weather service.
