BBC 1969 documentary ‘Royal Family’ gets leaked on YouTube

The Crown is one of the most famous shows that revolve around the Royal family and Queen Elizabeth II. Now imagine The Crown meeting reality TV.

If you liked the idea, you’d love to know about the 1969 BBC documentary called Royal Family. The documentary offered a close and intimate look into the lives of Queen Elizabeth II, husband Prince Philip, and children Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.

Royal Family, which was co-produced by ITV, was recently leaked on YouTube. Although a copyright claim was quickly on it, the footage both shocked and amused the younger audience.

The family had granted the network exclusive access to film their everyday lives. However, the queen reported regretted the decision later and requested the network to lock the documentary in its archives.
