Bill Meher’s statement on ‘Crytocurrency’ trends on Twitter
Bill Meher’s weird word on ‘Cryptocurrency’ is trending on Twitter.

Bill Maher is trending on Twitter due to a weird parallel he drew between Cryptocurrency and Tinkerbell.
Cryptocurrency is like Tinkerbell's light – its power source is based solely on enough children believing in it. And unfortunately what is real is that its growth could single-handedly push global temperatures above the tipping point of 2°C. #Bitcoin #Mining #ClimateChange pic.twitter.com/ZyPsuKdXEI

Captioned, “Cryptocurency is like Tinkerbell’s light-its power source is based solely on enough children believing in it.And unfortunately what is real is that its growth could single-handedly push global temperatures above the tipping point of 2°C. #Bitcoin #Mining #ClimateChange”, the 8-minute video is a total mockery of the Cryptocurrency. Quoting several billionaires like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, Maher addresses how “cryptomania is taking over Wall Street journal”, with major companies , the likes of Tesla, Microsoft, Etsy, Paypal and Starbucks investing in it. He later emphasises that “1 in 10 Americans have used stimulus checks to invest in Crypto”. Further he delves on the number of new cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin, which are replacing established currencies like Bitcoin. The whole video was a public stunt and so here is the much-expected backlash from the Twitteraties.
Oh, God. Bill. You're woefully misinformed. I'm a BOOMER. Grandmother of eight. As my profile says, lover of crypto. Like the internet did, it's coming to change the world. It is simply the way things will be done. You say you don't understand it. CLEARLY!!

Thanks Bill.— Peter McCormack (@PeterMcCormack) May 1, 2021
What an embarrassingly fundamental lack of understanding about money and it’s origins. @billmaher I would love to have you on my podcast to further discuss. Have your people call my people.
Or I can come on your show, no sweat. https://t.co/geOWsv74FM

So we see, maybe it was not a wise decision on Bill’s part.
