One seat shipped on that flight will be auctioned off to assist its Club for the Future foundation.
Blue Origin stated in a press release, “On July 20th, New Shepard will fly its first astronaut crew to space. We are offering one seat on this first flight to the winning bidder of Blue Origin’s online auction.” The statement further added that the auction starts on the same day and invited the public to place a bid on its website.
However, the press release didn’t comprise any information regarding the cost of each seat, going forward.
The space company confirmed that its website will accept sealed, anonymous bids of any cost by May 19th. However, any bids after that date will be made visible to the public.
After that, there’ll be a live online auction on June 12th as a final decision.
