It will be released in the United States. The movie is a follow-up to Book Club, which was released in 2018. Variety reported in May 2022 that Book Club 2: The Next Chapter, starring Keaton, Fonda, Bergen, Steenburgen, Garcia, Johnson, and Nelson, had begun production. In the United States, Focus Features will take over for Paramount Pictures as the distributor, with Universal Pictures handling distribution in other regions.
