CDS pushes companies to reveal their climate-related data

CDS pushes companies to reveal their climate-related data. The investors are mainly targeting companies that are not enough transparent as far as the environment is concerned. It is pushing them to disclose information through CDP, a public non-profit global environment.  It may sign a draft to make it a mandate for all companies.

88 investors with nearly US$10 trillion assets targeted the companies for their disclosure. They approximately targeted 707 companies with US$15.3 trillion market capitalization across 46 counties for not reporting their climate change, water security, and deforestation data.

This included Exxon Mobil, BP, Chevron, Amazon, Volvo, Alibaba, Qantas Airways as well as palm oil company Genting Plantations Bhd and now includes Apple, Netflix, and others too.
