COVID-19 vaccine will be given to all American from April 19
President Joe Biden is all set to announce today that all American adults will be eligible to receive a coronavirus vaccine by April 19, pushing up his earlier deadline of May 1 by about two weeks.
After visiting a vaccination site at Virginia Theological Seminary President Biden is set to make the announcement.
The news comes as many states have already started making vaccines eligible to all adult residents. Starting today, all adults living in New York are eligible to receive a vaccine.
Biden had previously announced that 90% of US adults would be vaccine-eligible by April 19, but he has pushed up that deadline as the number of shots administered has ramped up across the country.
The White House coronavirus response team announced yesterday that 4 million shots were distributed in a single day over the weekend.
Now is not the time to let up in our fight against COVID-19. We have to hold the line while everyone gets vaccinated. Keep wearing a mask, stay socially distanced, and wash your hands.
Let’s fight this to the end.
