Data Privacy Bill failed to make it to Connecticut’s Final Budget Bill; struck off before the House voted
Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff with the support of Sen. James Maroney has been pushing for the Data Privacy Bill for quite a long time and has yet again been denied. According to Duff, the bill if implemented would give the users the right to access, edit, delete, share or remove the data collected from their devices, and it would be in their hands to allow the companies to use that data in their favour or not.
Duff pushed the matter at hand in the Senate- “We have a crisis of privacy in our country right now. Companies are profiting off of every single keystroke that we make on our devices.”
