Demi Lovato rebuilds her overdose from ‘Dancing With the Devil’ music video
Popstar Demi Lovato is revisiting her past for her new music video. The singer is turning one of the darkest moments of her life into art.
EW has behind-the-scenes photos from her upcoming music video for “Dancing With the Devil.” In that, she is recreating her 2018 near-fatal overdose in scenes showing her at a bar, on a gurney, and in a hospital bed. This song is inspired by her struggles with addiction.
The star spoke to EW about the process of recording a song that dived into her past addictions. “Sometimes being descriptive can be triggering, but that’s the sad, sad truth of how dark it can get,” she said. “That’s important to give people, too.”







The pics clearly depict her dedication to bringing her personal and professional altering experience onscreen. Each and every minute detail is accurate, whether it’s her hair, her makeup, or even a green jacket to the one she was wearing the night of the overdose. Since it was as was revealed via harrowing photos shown in her recent YouTube docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil.
Her new album, Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over, is coming out this Friday that is 2 April.
