Donald Trump devoid of social media access till the risk of violence decrease, says Wojcicki

Since the US capital riot, former president Donald Trump’s channel was blocked from uploading new videos, part of a wave of suspensions issued by all major social media platforms.
CEO Susan Wojcicki said Thursday, The band will lift of channel, “when we determine the risk of violence has decreased,”
Wojcicki released the statement in an interview with Atlantic Council President and CEO Frederick Kempe.
Trump’s accounts on Facebook and Instagram remained suspended, pending the Oversight Board decision, whereas Twitter and Snapchat permanently banned him. YouTube temporarily suspended Trump’s account on Jan. 12.
Throughout his presidency, social media companies wrestled with how to moderate one of their most popular and volatile users.
The decision by social media platforms to block Trump’s access following the Capitol riot was praised by Trump critics but condemned by Trump supporters and free speech advocates who warned it as a dangerous precedent.
