Season 1 of “Firefly Lane” ended with a rift between Kate and Tully after Kate banned Tully from attending her father’s funeral. In Season 2, the reason was revealed: Tully let Kate’s daughter, Marah, go out despite being grounded, leading to an accident while driving Marah home from a party. The accident resulted in a major fallout between Kate and Tully, but they eventually reconcile after Tully rushes back home to Kate, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite fans’ hope for a third season, the show’s creator, Maggie, stated that the show was only intended to follow the storyline of the first book and season two and would not continue beyond that.
