Everything you need to know about Apple’s Spring Loaded Event

Apple jammed an-hour long event by announcing its new products such as iMac and iPad.

Apple Podcast

Tech. giant will be launching a redesigned Podcast app, including an option for its paid customer, which can be monthly or annually.

Purple iPhones

Rather than showering its fans with a new iPhone, the existing iPhone 12 and 12 mini will get new color: Purple. The company used Willy Wonka’s music for this particular announcement because… purple.

Apple Card

Apple explained how the card works. You can share your “Apple Family Card” among your family over the age of 13, with a customizable spending limit for each user. You can also “co-own” an Apple with another adult.

Air Tag

After years of rumors, Apple has finally launched its accessory which can track your accessories like keys, wallets, using the same “Find My” app you use when you lose your iPad.

Named, “Air Tag” will launch on April 30 at the price of $29 for a single card and $99 for a pack of four. It has user-replaceable batteries and also has a built-in speaker for helping you track down lost items.

New iPad Pros

iPad Pro is shifting over to M1. Apple says this will improve its performance by 50%. New features:

  • Thunderbolt and USB 4 support through the USB C-spot
  • Cellular models to have 5G support.
  • 16 GB RAM with up to 2 TB of built-in storage.
  • 11-inch model starts at $799, 12.9-inch at $1,099.

New iMacs

iMacs will also be shifting to M1. Highlights:

  • It features a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display
  • It is available in green, blue, silver, pink, orange, blue and purple color.
  • Pre-orders start at April 20, shipping in late May.

Next-gen Apple TV 4K

  • Powered by Apple’s A12 Bionic chip
  • They added a Siri button on the side of the remote for you to speak to your TV.
  • $179 for 32GB model and $199 for 64GB.
