GLAAD announces nominees for its 32nd Music Awards, introduces two new categories
Josie Totah, Shangela, and Jonathan Bennett took to GLAAD’s TikTok page to announce the nominees of the 32nd GLAAD Music Awards. The nominees included Lady Gaga, Schitt’s Creek, and Disclosure.
Other nominees include movies like The Prom, and Happiest Season, along with series like I May Destroy You and Veneno. Other celebrities who have gotten nominated are Lily Singh, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith.
Netflix managed to earn 25 nominees, which is most of any network. It was followed by HBO Max, which got eight nominees, including shows like 9-1-1: Lone Star.
GLAAD went on to introduce two new categories: Outstanding Children’s Programming, and Outstanding Breakthrough Artist, to recognize programs for younger children that showcase LGBTQ people and families, and LGBTQ artists whose music has made a difference to LGBTQ visibility and acceptance.
