H10N3 Bird Flu reported in Zhenjiang, China
On April 28, a man from the Chinese province of Jiangsu was brought in after he developed a fever among some other symptoms. After a month, it was concluded that he was suffering from the effects of H10N3 Avian Influenza Virus. NHC has been following his recovery, no other person he came in contact with was affected by the virus and how he came under its influence is still not clear.
The virus has been studied and although the strain is extremely uncommon, it is not highly contagious or fatal. The man has recovered and will soon be discharged from the hospital.
