Halsey announces pregnancy, reveals baby bump
Halsey took to social media on Wednesday to announce her pregnancy. In an Instagram post, where she tagged screenwriter Alev Aydin, the singer posted a picture of herself with a baby bump. Aydin commented, “Heart so full, I love you, sweetness.” To this, Halsey quickly responded, “I love you!!!!! And I love this mini human already!”

She also celebrated the news on Twitter by writing, “my rainbow🌈”.

Halsey has been very open about her struggles with reproductive health. In 2016, during a Rolling Stone interview, she revealed that she’d been pregnant the year prior, just before her career launch. She, soon, suffered a miscarriage, which was right ahead of a show. Still, she gave the performance.
“It’s the angriest performance that I’ve ever done in my life,” she said. “That was the moment of my life where I thought to myself, ‘I don’t feel like a human being anymore.’ This thing, this music, Halsey, whatever it is that I’m doing, took precedence and priority over every decision that I made regarding this entire situation from the moment I found out until the moment it went wrong. I walked offstage and went into the parking lot and just started throwing up.”
Halsey added that she beat herself up over the miscarriage. She further revealed that she wanted to be a mother more than she wanted to be pop star, and that the miscarriage was a setback for her.
