1. Our Miss Universe is a “software engineer” and much more:

Andrea Meza “is proud to be a woman who graduated in a male-dominated field of study,” as per her Miss Universe bio. Apart from a degree in software engineering, she is a certified Makeup Artist and a model. She also is the Tourism Brand Ambassador for  Chihuahua, her Mexican hometown.

2. She’s a Women’s Rights advocate:

The Mexican model shares a great affinity with the Municipal Institute for Women (INMUJERES), a Mexico-based international society. 4. She won the  Miss Universe 2020 title:

The pageant world’s calendar works one year late! And so Andrea was crowned the Miss Universe 2020 on May 16, after beating 73 candidates from all across the globe. Teary-eyed Andrea said in her acceptance speech, “I am so honoured to have been selected among the 73 other amazing women I stood with tonight,” Andrea said in a statement released by the Miss Universe Organization. “It is a dream come true to wear the Miss Universe crown, and I hope to serve the world through my advocacy for equality in the year to come and beyond.”

5. Her future ventures

As reported by Miss Universe Organisation, Meza will shift from her hometown Chihuahua to New York City. Several public appearances and some real long press tours await her there. Meanwhile, the new Miss Universe is sought to ‘represent the brand and various philanthropic organizations during her reign.’
