Here’s a Timeline on Elon Musk’s love affairs over the years

With almost 8 companies to look after and a mind that constantly shells out innovative ideas and science-y stuff, business magnate and engineer Elon Musk has had quite a love life as well. However this big persona has dealt with separation, heartbreaks, divorces, and fallen in and out of love quite a few times. Here’s all that you need to know about his two marriages and string of affairs:

Justine Wilson 

Justine Wilson, now known as Justine Musk, was perhaps his longest relationship. The duo tied the knot in 2000 after he’d pursued her for quite some time. Their first child, son Nevada, died due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and this not only left them devastated as parents but also distanced them as a couple. They later had twins and triplets before getting divorced in 2008. The couple now shares the custody of their five sons.

Talulah Riley 

Just six weeks after his first divorce, Musk was engaged to the American Actress Talulah Riley. They got married in 2010 and divorced in 2012. However, they also remarried in 2013 before filing for a second divorce in 2014.  He had also allegedly tweeted  “It was an amazing four years. I will love you forever. You will make someone very happy one day,” to Riley after their final separation.

Cameron Diaz 

While his second divorce with his second wife got finalized in 2016, he dated actress Cameron Diaz in between, in 2013. Rumors began when Diaz purchased a Tesla that year. Soon, they were reported to be seeing each other frequently. However, their romance fizzled out soon and he reconciled with Talulah.

Amber Heard 

This was a relationship of Musk that created a lot of buzzes and made it to the headlines. The relationship began in 2016 after Heard had finalized her divorce from actor Johny Depp. Musk had also been recently divorced and both were back in the market! However, things were not as easy. While they started stepping out together and making appearances by 2017, they also broke up that very year. Post that, Elon Musk was accused of having an affair with her while she was still married to Johny Depp and things got ugly for real as it was given an angle of an extramarital affair.

Grimes 

Claire Elise Boucher, better known as Grimes and Elon Musk began dating in 2018. The musician and the tech giant decided to keep it a secret for quite some time before they went to make an appearance at the 2018 Met Gala. Page Six reported that they had met online and started talking after cracking a shared joke about Artificial Intelligence. In May 2020, Grimes gave birth to their first child together, a son whose cryptic name broke the internet.  Initially named “X Æ A-12”, it had to be changed to “X Æ A-Xii” as the former was considered illegal by law having characters not included in the modern English alphabet. This drew more confusion as Æ was not a letter in the modern English alphabet either and the child was finally named X AE A-XII.
