Many celebrities contracted the coronavirus this year, but we are now seeing some begin the process of immunity. While some celebs in the U.K. started receiving the vaccine in early December, and some have already received their second round, the U.S. mostly saw stars receiving the vaccine in December, with celebrities starting to get the vaccine in January.
The COVID-19 vaccines rollout continues, and many major A-list celebrities are doing their part by getting inoculated against the coronavirus. With older people at greater risk of requiring hospitalization or dying if diagnosed with the virus, the venerable and experienced have been given priority over the virile and youthful. Ryan Raynolds turns to get his COVID-19 vaccine into a joke looking pretty stoked. “Finally got 5G,” he joked. The theory that contracting coronavirus is linked to high-speed mobile phone signals.

Amy became the lasted celeb to get her COVID-19 vaccine in New York City. She also shared a sweet message on her Instagram after receiving her dose. “I want to thank all the brave people in the medical field…It’s nice to see all of them. I feel excited and hopeful.

Immense gratitude to all of the frontline healthcare workers, continuing to work tirelessly to keep us all safe. As a citizen well into my platinum years, I got my first dose of the vaccine through the LA County Department of Health, at a public vaccination site where I waited in line with other 65+ eligible citizens. (This photo is a standard test before a film shoots the following day, per film production protocols in Los Angeles.) I’ll continue to wear masks and practice social distancing. This too shall pass. Grand things are ahead.
