Internal Revenue Service provides refund to those who paid taxes for Unemployment Benefits last year

About 2.8 million people who paid taxes for Unemployment Benefits last year are applicable for refunds seeing the changes brought by the American Rescue Plan Act.

IRS is reviewing the tax returns for this season. People who are eligible for the refund and are done with their taxes this season will be compensated in June and the people who until yet owe them will get their due this time along. Other tax credits including the earned income tax credit, premium tax credit and recovery rebate credit are under review as well to check whether or not they remain unaffected by the Rescue Plan.
